Up until now patients in any of Andalusia’s hospitals have had to pay for the privilege of watching television by purchasing a card that calculated usage time.
Yesterday Junta de Andalusia president Susana Díaz announced that every hospital room in Andalusia would offer free television for its patients.
The economic recovery in the region will allow hospitals to improve their facilities and services.
The free television service will begin this month and is expected to be implemented in all 19 of Andalusia’s public hospitals by the start of the next semester.
